# 6.1 Activating ARK Civilization's Application Layer: What is ARKLand?

ARKLand is the tangible carrier of ARK's upper-level digital society, a self-consistent interactive economic system driven by AI models and citizen behaviors. It represents not only a decentralized application platform but also a set of civilization operating mechanisms—where participants simultaneously function as users, builders, and governors, establishing collaborative value co-creation relationships with AI.

We call it the "ARK Citizen Layer," an interactive society where all citizens can participate, train, launch, govern, and benefit.
